Rasti

"Wear What Finds You"

Rasti reimagines fashion as a deeply personal and artistic journey. Meaning "to be found", the label is rooted in bold self-expression and mindful design, transforming traditional crochet into modern, textured silhouettes that speak of freedom and joy. Its aesthetic is playful yet grounded—marked by asymmetry, vibrant colors, and an unapologetically individual spirit. Every piece is handcrafted over days or weeks, honoring a process that values time, intention, and skill. Rasti stands for more than style—it’s a quiet rebellion against the fast and fleeting, encouraging wearers to embrace fashion as a space for storytelling, reflection, and the rediscovery of self.

Craftsmanship

At Rasti, each piece is handmade by a close-knit community of 7–10 women artisans from the slum area of Alum, Delhi, using techniques like hand crochet, hand knitting, flat knitting machine work, fabric manipulation, and Chikankari embroidery. Crafted in 100% cotton and produced in small batches, Rasti’s bold, textured silhouettes reflect a slow, sustainable philosophy. The brand launches just one main collection a year, focusing on quality, storytelling, and mindful design. Through fair wages, safe working conditions, and continuous skill-building, Rasti empowers its artisan team—transforming traditional craft into wearable art while nurturing independence, dignity, and creative expression.

Meet Sargam Tomar, the Designer

For Sargam, crochet revealed itself as more than just beachwear or winter pieces — it’s bold, wearable art for every day. Rasti, meaning “to be found,” reflects her journey and her desire to help others find joy, self-expression, and comfort in their clothing. Her journey as a designer started long before fashion school. From a young age, Sargam was passionate about creativity, starting with painting in sixth grade, which led her to explore various mediums. This creative drive eventually took her to fashion school, where she deepened her understanding of design. But it wasn’t until the pandemic that she truly found her path. With the space to experiment, Sargam turned to crochet and knitting as creative outlets. What started as personal experimentation soon grew into Rasti — a bold, personal vision driven by her desire to break boundaries and create something uniquely hers.
