Acid Moons

"Exploring textiles as talismans with spiritual symbolism, music & craft"

Acid Moons creates one-of-a-kind drops using over 80% reclaimed fabrics—rescued cotton and linen left behind by factories. Born from collaborations with music collectives and tattoo artists, the brand blends rave culture, symbolism, and textile storytelling into collectible pieces that reject trends and celebrate circular design.

The Creation Process

Acid Moons partners with artisan communities across India to craft textiles using techniques like applique, kantha, aari embroidery, kalamkari, and Bhujodi weaving. All fabrics are reclaimed, organic, or handloom, dyed naturally, and custom-made in collaboration with craftspeople from regions like Jaipur, Bihar, West Bengal, and Andhra Pradesh. An all-women artisan team leads production, ensuring ethical, small-batch making. Acid Moons is deeply rooted in sustainability, using biodegradable materials, avoiding synthetic waste, and turning discarded fabrics into one-of-a-kind garments. The result: clothing that honors craft, supports community, and keeps fabric out of landfills—designed to last, not to expire.

Meet , the Designer

Kareena Oberoi’s journey with Acid Moons began as a small visual experiment during her college years; a way to bring art-inspired merchandise to India. What started in her drawing room, selling exports from Hong Kong, soon evolved into a creative venture that merged her love for art, fashion, and storytelling. In 2023, a serendipitous encounter with her mother’s old sarees shifted her vision entirely. Acid Moons transformed into a textile studio championing Indian crafts, working with artisan clusters across India and using reclaimed fabrics to give heritage a bold, modern expression — a true meeting of East and West.
