The Creation Process

The Terra Tribe pares luxury down to the essentials. Locally spun Indian Tencel, hand‐woven hemp, linen, and organic cotton form the palette-fibres that sip water, skip electricity, and feel feather‐light on skin. Plant dyes steeped from indigo, madder vine, and iron vinegar glaze the cloth in soft earth tones. In its solar‐lit workshop, artisans weave, cut, and finish under fair‐wage terms, fastening pieces with recycled‐metal trims instead of animal hides. Scraps circle back as the "Reborn" line, where past‐season offcuts are re‐imagined into new silhouettes, and any runoff is filtered or composted on‐site. Terra Tribe sews a closed‐loop story: minimalist form, maximal respect.

Meet Charmee Ambavat, the Designer

Charmee's path to fashion began far from the studio - in the world of finance and auditing. But a growing passion for design led her to pursue formal training and explore the world of fashion more deeply. It was during a university project in Northeast India - collaborating with indigenous artisans - that her conviction for sustainability truly took root. Trading balance sheets for handwoven fabrics, she went on to launch The Terra Tribe, creating elevated, gender-fluid clothing crafted with mindful intent.
