The Creation Process

with N thoughtfully reimagines Indian textile heritage through mindful craftsmanship and timeless designs. Collaborating closely with handloom artisans in Bengal, Kutch, and southern India, the brand creates contemporary pieces from organic Kala cotton, handwoven linen, intricate Jamdani, textured Khadi, and everyday-wearable Mulberry silk. Each textile is meticulously woven, often dyed naturally at the yarn stage, and crafted into made-to-order garments—significantly reducing waste. Rooted in a slow fashion ethos, with N emphasizes sustainability through organic, rain-fed fibers, azo-free dyes, fair wages, and enduring styles, celebrating the quiet beauty of handmade imperfections and the longevity of artisanal fashion.

Meet Nishtha & Nikhil, the Designer

With N.' is a labor of love for its founders, Nishtha and Nikhil. What started as a passion project in 2019 has grown into a full-time pursuit, reflecting their unique creative sensibilities. Neither trained in fashion schools, the brand embodies their sense of everyday living and a deep connection to their personal interests. Nishtha, a trained journalist, left her full-time job to follow a path that truly resonated with her, while Nikhil, a discerning traveler, spent years researching India’s vast landscape to create bespoke journeys. Together, they combined Nishtha’s love for textiles and Nikhil’s appreciation for culture and travel, creating a brand that’s a manifestation of who they are. ‘With N.’, a play on the term ‘within’, is influenced by art, culture, and travel, reflecting their personal journey and the things that are true to them.
