CRAFT- Kotpad handloom, from the village with the same name, is woven using a heavyweight cotton by members of the Mirgan community. Men are the weavers, while women take care of the elaborate dyeing process. The reds, maroons and browns used are 100% natural - extracted from the roots of the local aal tree (Indian madder). Extra weft motifs typically include crabs, umbrellas, huts and fish.
