Earth Shirt - African Batik & Linen II

African Batik is a hand-dyeing craft practiced across West Africa, using wax-resist techniques to create vibrant patterns on cotton. Hot wax is applied to fabric before dyeing, producing striking contrasts and layered colors. We have sourced this fabric from our travels to Africa and made these two-of-two shirts.

Technique - Hand-embroidery

Note - The shirt has been crafted using the traditional technique of African Batik, sourced from one of many trips to nondescript fabric shops from all across the world. The shirt uses 100% reclaimed linen and features aari hand-embroidery on pocket.
